I have seen animated gifs on Twitter for quite some time and secretly wished a quick and easy way to create one for myself. No one could tell me an easy way, so after much delay, I decided to try to the long way myself. After several failed attempts I found what I believe to be the easiest way that allows you the most control. In order to do this you will need Photoshop and a video or some pictures you would like to animate.

Instructions:

Create an animated gif.
You can do this using Photoshop or by visiting 3fram.es
I like using Photoshop, because it gave me a greater level of control. I simply pulled in my video clip using Photoshop CS5. Your video should already be edited down to a short clip. You can do this using Windows Movie Maker. I used PowerDirector 9. When your clip is shortened, you are ready to begin conversion. Read more
